Working closely with the charity’s founders, Kelly and Nicole, the objective was to create a high-impact donation engine. The requirements were clear:
Search Authority: Achieve a dominant SEO ranking within the UK charity sector.
Accessible Aesthetics: A child-friendly, high-contrast interface that honours the existing brand identity.
Universal Responsiveness: Flawless performance across all devices, ensuring accessibility for a community with diverse needs.

Empathetic Information Architecture
Dealing with complex medical information is a challenge. We meticulously organised content to ensure it was informative for families and researchers, yet remained digestible for the general public.
Design for Engagement
We leaned into a bright, hopeful palette to reflect the charity’s spirit. To drive action, we developed custom HTML-coded CTA buttons with subtle animations, designed to capture attention and guide users toward "Support" and "Donate" milestones without being intrusive.
Real-time Connection
Finally, we integrated an RSS feed to provide live updates on research progress, ensuring the community feels connected to the tangible impact of their donations.
The Outcome
Search Dominance
Action for BPAN is now the top-ranked listing worldwide for "BPAN charity" and related keywords on Google.
Donation Velocity
The streamlined donation flow and animated CTAs have contributed nearly 700 'Donation' button clicks to date, with the charity raising close to £200,000 since the website's inception.
Community Reach
Since launch, the site has attracted over 10k unique visitors, providing a vital resource for newly diagnosed families across the UK. The charity was recently named Charity of the Year by the London Golf Club.
